Wonderful looking juvenile. I like the golden light, the pose and sharpness.

Absolutely, I have renewed enthusiasm! Learning more about the new camera as well.

    Really nice Colin.
Nice and sharp with a great wing position. He is even glancing down at you.
I might be tempted to desaturate the yellows a bit as well. I know it was just after sunrise but the yellow tones are a bit strong.

That is excellent news Colin, once you get to know it you begin to realise the awesome potential it has. Mine's been working very hard these last few weeks, especially in mirrorless mode. OK you don't have EVF, but in certain situations it is brilliant. I've been working within 3-6m of a subject and it never knew I was there. If you have any question, drop me a line, but trust you have updated stuff?

The image I like, but find the colours masking a lot of the detail you capture, plus its over sharp with halos around the wings.

Great up-wing flight pose, and early morning light. Slight halos noted. As Gail said, this may be an accurate rendition of the sunrise light, but slightly toning down the highlights, or slightly desaturating the yellows, might be worth a look.

Light was killer here. The bird looks nice and sharp.

Nice capture Colin, I like the look at the face you have. Obviously shot in gorgeous light, but I think you could maybe tone down the saturation a little and still retain the lovely warmth to the shot
