I like the way the sky brings out the subject and the distant background.

Hi Sanjeev, I quite like the framing here, but looking at the post, e=was it under exposed? I might have bracketed the shot as the subject was static, and do 2/3rds, then blend all three back in PS, or, depending on the angle popped a CPL on. This would help both darks & HL's. Techs look fine, may be f/11 and take the ISO up. I think you can coax out a tad more in the sky? RP isn't great, but...

It was under exposed Steve. Your RP looks good. Will try bracketing next time.

Hi Doc -- Really liked the framing , the Giraffe looks splendid amidst this wider scape . Steve's RP definitely shows the path and it always is good to try bracketing when exposing against the sky, I have learnt that from experience and postings here on BPN.

    Nice one.

Is this a reticulated as opposed to Masai giraffe? My initial impression was that it was underexposed also. I notice quite a golden glow, I don't know if it something to do with my browser - I have checked it, but I posted in Avian recently and also noticed more golden colour than in PS.

Nice portrait of this giraffe standing tall. Like the open setting and the environment that is included in the background.
