I'm having a ball in my garden each morning, discovering Bees i've never seen before! One of them is the Blue banded Bee. They don't hang around for long, moving quickly from flower to flower...so I'm really happy to have captured some on flowers as well as in flight. This is the best of a series. Cheers.

I like it, there is just a tiny bit of motion blurr in the bee body/head. He really is a little gem of a bee isn't he. I am looking forward to seeing more.
I would suggest a faster shutter speed - try 1/3200 sec.

Hi Jonathan. Yes..I would have liked a sharper head...but I was happy just getting this one. I've also spent quite a lot of time trying for one of the native bees (posted earlier) in flight. At around 3-4mm in length it's proving a challenge...but I'll keep going. Yes, I also spent this morning in the garden trying 1/3200th sec shutter speeds. Cheers!

Another neat bee frame. I like the framing with the flowers.
