Love this time of year with Warblers arriving and migrating through. Taken a couple days ago a little later in the morning than I like.
The light was starting to get a little harsh. Straight size reduction.

I like the perch and the placement of the bird, light was too harsh here and contrast is a too high, chest yellows look hot as a result. I would reduce the contrast to reduce the harshness a bit

Great bird on a beautiful spring perch. I too feel the contrast is too high. Bummer your lens was not pointed half an inch more to your right - this would have included the full tip of the last bud plus a bit of room. I love the cute perked-up pose, and the nice BG.

What a cute shot, I agree with previous critique, in addition maybe a little dodging between the eye and the bill would also help.

Ditto everything above. In addition, the face is a bit dark and crunchy as well, perhaps from over-sharpening... Great bird and killer perch? Did you use audio? (Just curious).

Yes, I did use audio. They rarely come out of the tree tops without a little enticement.

Hi Jack .. a nice little bird , in a perfect setting . Well for the most part ... it is wished to be that way in this forum or amongst the avian community . For me ok in general , too . Just miss sometimes a few more elements in the frame .... but that is just personal taste .

Overall image is too heavy in terms of color and contrast , masking potential detail .

Nice view of this warbler. Hoping to see some soon. The buds on the right balance the perch nicely.
