    Default Tri-Color Snowy Hybrid

From what I am told, no one has ever been able to collect a feather from this individual to verify his ancestry but the general consensus is a Tri-Color Snowy hybrid. I'm told he has been around for the last 3 years, seen regularly at Merritt Island NWR and reported as far north as Maine. First we've ever seen him. Feet are yellow, on the bottom only, which I am assuming is how the snowy DNA conclusion was reached.

We've been hitting MI NWR every weekend for a month now as it's about the only place left open as all the state parks are closed.

    D850 500 PF 5.6 1/1600 ISO 800

A bit of cropping around the edges. Processed in C1 and PS.

    Thanks for looking.

What a great bird! Nicely captured, with good detail and nice pose.

Nice image. Amazing bird. The image overall is too dark and the WHITEs have a YELLOW cast. I pulled the curve up and then did a click white balance on the brightest WHITEs on the head.

It does look better Artie. Thanks. I have about 20 more keepers of him, I'll go back and reevaluate them also.

Thanks for the comments Bill! Really appreciate it.

Neat looking bird. Like the reflection and ripples in the water.

You are most welcome John. There is lots of info on dealing with color in DB II. And I share my techniques for using the White Balance Tool in several videos: Click on a white area with the Eyedropper as a starting point and comparing the Custom result with As Shot and then adjust the Color Temperature to taste.
