    Default Western Sandpiper

The wintering shorebirds are molting into their breeding plumage ahead of spring migration, so I'm willing to brave the treacherously soft
San Francisco Bay to get low angle frames at this time of year. The tides were right at the end of last week, and this result made me glad
I didn't pass on the cloudy conditions. I like the way the rufous pops in the high-key surrounds.

Looking good....The stepping out pose and POV make this image different. Lovely detail on the bird.

Nice low angle. Cloudy conditions can do really well some times.

The raised foot is nice. The soft light brings out the detail quite nicely. Low angle is right on.
