One more from my 2017 visit to Martin Ranch, TX. After the trip I posted a frame of this guy having just taken off. It had a better wing position but the oof tree branch that he had departed was distracting. Here, several frames later, he is heading for a landing spot on the ground and is free of the oof tree branch.
Well done. Love the BKGR. In a perfect world the near-wing would have been fully raised.

A personal favorite species, so this sits well with me. Action pose is really great, especially the dangling legs and feet. The bird really jumps off that buttery background. The detail is really nice across the bird, and you've avoided shadows virtually everywhere. Would love. touch more head turn, but I'd take this any day!
