    Default Eared Grebe

Social distanced in the kayak yesterday. All of the waterfowl have departed for their Arctic summers,
but I was able to catch up with this breeding plumage Eared Grebe. As I'd only captured this species
in winter plumage, I was really happy with this frame. I really like these painterly, smaller-in-frame
canvases and strive to produce them whenever I can (which is rarely)

Processed in LR CC. Turned down the luminosity in blue channel to aid my painterly goals.

Looks good to me! It is swimming ever so slightly away from you, but it provided a perfect head angle. Particularly appealing blues, with the grebe's warm accents providing a nice contrast to those.

Really like this one. Great HA, lovely low POV, and nice blues. I really like the bit of red / orange reflection in the water. TFS

Very attractive frame. Bird pops from that nice water.
    Well done from a canoe.

Classic low angle here. Love that blue water. The red eye is great as well.

Love the colours and contrast throughout....Small in frame is perfect here... The details on the bird shine through.
