This common loon was imaged in 2016, never processed. I was a calm morning, the chicks were with the other parent, a moment for contemplation.

Post: Curves to reduce contrast, small crop from right for comp.

Advice and comments always appreciated .

Hey Mr Loon ... yet another lovely frame of this species . Very well processed in terms of tone/contrast and color .
Sharp where it counts ... and lovely fine detail rendered .
Love that you did not remove that little feather .... on the tip of the bill .
Shot is just simple and clean .... with pleasing soft FG and BG .
    Maybe lowering the blue/cyan a fraction ... ???

    Thanks Andreas:

He had been preening, hence the tiny feather, part of the story.

I do agree about the blue. Because of the subdued light and water on the feathers, it is common to get a bit of blue on the body.

    Cheers

Nice frame all around. Like the framing and the pose. Light is nice as well.

Love this one. Great colors and details. Pose is nice as is the light. The green in the black feathers matches so well with the rest of the image. TFS
