    Gail:

Sharp, nice feather detail and display, good shooting angle, bg compliments without distracting, comp works nicely.

    Well done

    Cheers

Ditto Randy's comments and for some reason I also love those two longer grasses on the right. TFS

Quite nice. Like the framing and that pose. Nice low angle. Like the feather detail.

I like the image, the low viewpoint and the composition are very pleasing. I can't help but feel the blacks are a little heavy, thus the contrast seems high.......did you add Black to the Blacks by any chance??

    Hi Jonathan,
No, I did not add any blacks.

It appears a little bit contrasty to me..Excellent angle and attractive frame in general.

Sweet shot. Great detail throughout the bird, and I love the habitat/bg. Nicely done.

Such a pleasing color scheme here. Bird looks great. Love that we can see a bit of the feet through the grass. I would dodge the dark OOF bit in the lower right corner as it draws my eye. Pose is great on the bird. TFS
