    Good portrait of a beautiful heron. A couple of small white spots could be removed on the lores and one on the shoulder, just for tidying up an otherwise clean bird. The contour, in spots, almost looks cutout, perhaps due to the BG being so uniform. Cool eye on this fella.

    Thanks to all for your very valued input. Hi Dan, I was working through the slats of a boardwalk to get a lower angle on this beauty when this fella decided to rise up and land on the railings. I slowly rose and pointed all 800mm. No go as I was closer than the MFD. Moved back just a tad, probably just within MFD to grab a burst. So, at MFD with 800mm of compression and a large evenly lit far off cypress stand as BG. Dumb luck indeed...
