From my found folder of unprocessed images. Not too old, Nov. 2018, but it almost got deleted so this was a nice find for me. I remember being quite happy that this grosbeak decided to hang out at the extreme edge of this decorative crabapple tree in our local arboretum.

love the color palette and the perch Dan, I only wish the bird was a just a bit more parallel to the back of the camera (especially the head) since the beak is running out of DOF. the berries are very nice so is the soft BG
The perch is especially good, the berries are positioned perfectly and compliment the color of the background. Light, details and comp is all very good as well!
I'm inclined to agree with Arash regarding the pose but I think it works well together with this composition that leaves a lot of room to the right.
Really like this one. The colour all over is splendid, like a painting. That feeling you had with the bird at the tip of branch is recognizable. While busy you know this makes a great oppurtunity.
But how can you forget and almost delete an image like this?? More from the side should be nice, but you can't have it all. It's nature.
Hi Dan, love the framing, colour palette and 'messy/ bill. Just a thought, but adding a simple Blend mode adjustment to the berries just adds a tad more depth and offers IMHO more of a 3D effect????

I love this.
The colors are fantastic. You could not have designed a more complimentary color palette. BG/bird/berries all color coordinated.
No nits from me,

Colors of bird, background and berries work great together. Yes to a bit more dof , but it works well overall. Really like that some berries are 'chewed on' to show the feeding process.
