    Default Chicken run

Image taken in Botswana at a waterhole in the Nxai Pan NP .
Due to low animal concentration I photographed these chickens .... LOL. As said before only a side product , never my main goals .
The lens combo is quite heavy for fast moving chickens ... plus there was a ton of heat haze to fight with .

Love the low angle and pose with both feet off the ground. Perfectly sharp with a nice BG and love the colorful head. TFS

Chicken on the move! Is this some type of guinea hen? Nice and sharp with some good detail.

I always smile when I see these guinea fowl. They are so stupid- we called them suicide birds because they loved to jump in front of the vehicle and run just ahead of the vehicle.
They would not move off the road!
You have captured their crazy run nicely.
I realize you were in a vehicle and could not get lower but a lower POV would have likely given you a better BG.
The left foot has been slightly obscured by an OOF grass so I might try to fix this (many ways to do it). A slight head turn our way would have been nice.
I like the little feathers at the back of the head.
You are lucky heat shimmer did not ruin this image.
    Fun image!

Thanks John and Gail for your comments much appreciated .

Gail fully agree with you about the lower POV .... but ... you know it yourself . Correct the foot and some parts of the body are covered by OOF grass , but I can live with it . And yes to the head turn ...

Hi Andreas, nice fun image of a bird I am not familiar with. Nice action, colors, tones and background. I just noticed now that it appears both feet are off the ground. Thank you for sharing.
