Like the setting here with all that ice. Wish that bird was facing the other way. Maybe raise the exposure a little.

The snow looks great. Interesting and dynamic pose from the Kittiwake, I imagine there was another just out of the frame that it was interacting with? I too wish it had faced the other way though. If your processing ethics allow it, I would also add a small catchlight to liven the eye. Did you see many Polar Bears?

Processing is excellent, you do a really nice job.
Interesting comp. kind of breaks all the rules, bird looking out of the frame,
but for reason is kind of compelling.
I wonder what he is squawking at....
Look forward to more of your work.

I too, like the way you have positioned the bird in the frame. Different, but it works for me.
I also like the diagonal line of snow coming from the right upper corner.
    Whites look good,

Hello John, I consciously chose this composition. I saw the bird through my viewfinder and the lines of the ice and decided in a split second to capture it this way. I had to react quickly because the ship was slowly moving on.

As the ship slowly drifted further, it regurlarly barked the ice floes in half. The Arctic Cod that hides just under the ice suddenly becomes available as gull food. This of course gives the necessary trammer among the birds present.
