A poor Goose...

Another C1P reprocessed file from last fall.
I posted another frame from this sequence back then.
This was a total grab sequence, so I blew the whites.
A lot wrong with the shots in general but I was happy just to get these
and wanted to see what I could do them in another program.
Better than the PS versions I previously did.
This is a 60% crop.

Neat behavior and action here. I have only ever seen eagles take ducks not geese.

Technical issues aside, this is a very dramatic image. The goose's pose makes it more powerful. Nature is indeed a harsh mistress.

I remember the one you posted with a duck...but now a goose. What next, a swan!. Pretty neat natural history moment recorded. The eagle looks like it is on a mission.

Fantastic behavior shown. I have never seen an eagle take a goose. A duck, yes but never a goose.
The image is very poignant because the goose is still very much alive and alert.
Too bad about the BG but not a huge problem for me because of the incredible action.

not bad for a grab shot and the unusual prey (Canada goose) is really cool. Many magazines and websites will probably pay you to publish this rare image despite the technical issues. just have to market it :)
