    I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, camera supported by a monopod
    1/2500 F/8 Matrix Metering EV 0 ISO 1000 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 400mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Joe:

    One of my favorite birds, nice shooting angle, like head turned a bit back towards us. Lovely breeding plumage.

    The saturation looks just a bit intense, but certainly is vibrant.

    Crop works well for this pose.

    That pink and blue go great together. Nice pose and behavior on this one. Should have entered it for the theme. The water looks really neat.

    Hi Randy, finally figured it out. Not sure how but the contrast was pushed. Here is a repost I think is better.

    Great image Joe great detail. On the original water is what I thought had too much contrast or saturation . Second version is better. TFS

    Beautitful colours, and I like the water movement where the bill is touching it. Good head turn. If mine I'd likely remove the detached part of the head reflection just to clean up the bottom edge.
