It seems impossible that these chicks can grow so much in one week. These are the "twins" that were in the middle of the Skimmer Colony before the parents moved them last week. They seem to be doing very well and have at least doubled in size.

Simply awesome Joe . Love the low angle and the two babies with superb eye contact and the beautiful composition. They are really starting to look like little skimmers now. I love it. Many thanks for sharing this outstanding image !!!

Viery nice Joe. They look like two puffballls with eyes and legs. The one on the right seems to be looking at you.

Way to go Joe, nice looking image. Was a fun morning especially the chick in breeding plumage. :D

Yes, very cute. I would consider cloning out or QMing the two dark spots above the right bird's bill.

The composition and exposure is super. The two black marks also distracted me-but not very much, in this nice image.

Cute little gaffers! I like the comp. A lower angle would take this up a notch...a bit of sharpening halos on the tops of the beaks....

    Judy,
Thanks for the kind comments. For the record , these are common tern chicks. We are waiting for the skimmers to hatch.

    Joe,
    Thanks for the clarification.
You saved me from pulling out my skimmer chicks.
Your little guys are way cuter than baby skimmers!
    James
