Hoi Dan ... perfekt flight pose for me , well timed frame or better said shot . BG is a bit busy but not much you can do .

Not knowing the species I can just guess .... whites on the neck does look blown or at least recovered with no details/feather structure . Are the underlings that blue ???

And again , that noise/grain in the wings ??? At Iso 800 ??? Any idea where that stuff is coming from ... I am guessing again , might be the processing

Thanks, Andreas, I am pretty sure it is my processing...
I am an avid photographer, get out most every day and take a lot of photos.
I process them fairly rapidly, this is just a hobby.
I am fortunate to live in a nice birding area, I can come home each day with dozens of
decent shots, I will process 3 or 4 and move on.
I do not look at each photo as an art project.
I do appreciate critiques which is why I post here.
I will try to be more careful about what I post.

Hi Dan ... this explains a little bit , thanks for the info .

I guess it is only a hobby for the majority of us ... I do not know how many of us make their living out of photography here in this forum .

Glad to hear you do not get my critique wrong when I do raise a point or two ....

    Cheers Andreas

I like it. Nice pose and light. I assume this was right after take off. Setting is typical where you see these guys.

Love the take off pose, water drops and oddly the environment. TFS
