Hi folks ... during my search for an avian posting , stayed in the folder and went through the mammals subfolders to dig out this old file from 2014 .
Normally I go in winter to Helgoland for the seals , as then there were normally less people .... but that has changed drastically ..... almost the same about of humans in winter on the beach , just a bit more dressed and not lying in the sand like in summer .
So this is a summer image .... one will find no pups and mostly female and young adults .

This guy was having fun ... in the shallow water .

Nice playful pose by the seal. Good low angle and great details and sharpness Andreas. Nice soft light too with good techs.

The splashing water is great. Nice the detail as well. I enjoyed viewing this one.

The splashing doers make it look like a playful time. I could see a version with a bit more top and right as it is borderline tight in the frame IMO. I love those turquoise blues.

Hi Andreas -- Loved those colours , nice details as well. Light looks pretty good and you have exposed and sharpened a wet subject pretty nicely .

The sense of motion adds to the image, and for that matter I would have liked some more space in the direction it is moving , feels a bit centred.

    A nice image nonetheless.

Hi Andreas, nice overall colour palette and Dan raised a good couple of points, I might remove the darker blob in the BKG near the top.

Thanks so much folks for your kind comments , much appreciated .

Steve .. yes the darker blob could go if I am being picky , but I am not that picky for now with this blob .

I do agree with Daniel about more room to the right , with the top I am more than ok .

    Cheers Andreas
