This action unfolded quickly in the urban park. I could hear the noisy chatter before this moment but it took me some time to realize that it was being caused by parakeets (introduced in Hawaii from India as far as I know). Ironically I used to see this species outside my bedroom window growing up in Mumbai so I guess I should have recognized them earlier . The males have the collar while the females don't. The cackling female drove off the male within a few seconds. Most of my photos in this sequence have some motion blur in them or the male isn't in focus, this one struck the best balance between pose/action and sharpness.
