    Captured this image in 2012 in Iceland. This Great Skua was warning us we were coming too close to her nesting area. Heavy overcast morning with very low ceiling. C&C welcome.

    D3S, nikon 500mm f/4G, 1/2500s, f 7.1, ISO 640, Gitzo, Wimberley Gimbal head.

    Nice and sharp.
    I would raise the exposure by half a stop.
    I wish the bird was firmly positioned in the sky or even better, against the mountain BG.
    I like the fanned tail.

    Super bird! I, like Gail, wish the bird were higher, but there's nothing you can do about that now.

    You could warm the frame as presented; It is really cold/blue now. This bird should be golden brown and warming the frame will help highlight that feature.

    Thank you Gail, Dorian, and John. Good suggestions, and yes Dorian they are more of a golden brown indeed, yet I kind of liked this after I raised the exposure in post. I'll post another frame from that morning.
