    Default Black Skimmer action

From Nickerson in August 2016. Sun was pretty bright even though this was shot at around 7:30 am. I tried some contrast reduction to try and mitigate it. Removed tails of several other skimmers intruding into the frame.

I love the action, and the very well spaced out skimmers. The two grounded ones are yelling at the incoming one to keep it's distance, to socially distance! Nice clean beach. Bad luck with the shadow on the left individual's face though. Perhaps some processing TLC can help mitigate that.

Cool interaction, with good exposure and I love that clean sand to set them off. TFS

Man crazy how much bigger that right wing looks than the left one on the landing bird. Your classic Nickerson frame. The sun sure does get high fast in the summertime.

I am always excited when I get 3 birds in a frame that are all sharp.
    Very good action portrayed here.
As you mentioned, the light is getting bright.
Too bad about the shadow over the face of the bottom right skimmer but not a deal breaker.
Whites are a bit greyed out. Might be worth revisiting the whites and using luminosity mask on them.
    Fun frame!

Thanks all. You are right, Gail (as usual). When I globally reduced the contrast I greyed out the whites. They should be revisited as you suggest. I'm sure I could also fix the shadow.

3 sharp in the frame and nice poses... Very nice, I would be very happy with this one.
