Clean and simple John, personally I would have gone to f/5.6 just for a tad more, shooting wide open and being side on helped. I might clone out the few highlight dots and may have looked at a slightly tighter crop. Sweet BKG.
Just check the setting on the IS of the 500.

I like it and the frost looks good too. They really do have big tails don't they along with small ears. ........what benefit are small ears over large ears I wonder?? I am guessing this is a young one ?

Yes a juvenile. The ears should grow a little more.

What a cutie! Love those tiny ears. Well captured and well framed, colours look good. Perfect HA and lovely pose, just wonderful!
If your ethics permit I would suggest removing those bright spots, for a cleaner look. Otherwise, no nits from me. Really glad you shared this, it's lovely:)
Kind regards,

Hi John -- Nice and simple and lovely details . Low angle works well and I also liked the rim lighting.
Nicely done.
