inspired by Dan's harrier shots I posted one of my own, this is a juvenile female bird, they have dark pupils and different plumage. much of Northern CA is in lock down, perfect time for staying home and processing images!

    Arash:

Nicely lit bird against the darker background, excellent dorsal view, eye contact, catchlight, exposure. The subtle brown tones in the background match the bird nicely.

Beautiful. Love the contrast of the dark background.

The bird really pops against that background. Nice framing and pose as well. What's the answer to this thread? Thanks http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...1044-crop-quiz

Another beauty...I love the feather details. The BG sure shows the bird well.

That is some sweet light! Loving the dark BG too. My favorite part are the far wing's primaries, the way they are separated and layered.
