    Yesterday I posted a image of a male Anhinga todays image of of the female. The image was captured at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, image captured at 400mm
    1/1000 F/8 Matrix Metering EV +2/3 ISO 900 Auto 1 WB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Joe:

    Very nice comp, cropping of body well handled, open bill, excellent eye, feather texture, all good.

    Wish the tip of the bill was a bit sharper, but not sure if you were going to be able to get enough DOF to allow that.

    Hi Joe,

    Excellent speaking capture. These are such unique birds, having multiple feather patterns, and remarkable eyes, which you've shown so well. Like the light, and that nice smooth background.

    The open yapper is great here. Love the framing and that soft background. Detail on the bird is very nice.

    Ah yes, now this one has the sharpness that your previous image lacked. I love the view of the veins in the bill.
