    I captured this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in late December. The bird was just beginning to show the tan tufts of feather it has during breeding. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, Oben CTM-2500 Monopod, Wimberly MH-100 MonoGimbal Head, Kirk Tripod Collar
    1/1600 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +2/3 ISO 1000 Auto 1 WB, image captured at 400mm
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped slightly for composition and presentation

    The pose is great. Like the framing and that green background. I would sharpen the head some more.

    Pretty cool overall, but yes, the head and face need more sharpening. Beautiful BG!

    Hi Dan, after reading your comments I took another look at the TIFF. You are correct, no sharpening. I screwed up, not clicking on the history of post processing in Lightroom after making a change in Photoshop. I corrected that, here is a repost. Thank you for viewing and commenting.
