    Default Harrier in Cloudy light.

Taken this morning, every day I have different conditions for these active Harriers
I also got very lucky to get this photo, I think it is one of the better ones I have taken
in my Harrier week! It was very close.
Clouds are my favorite, I was happy to wake up to morning clouds. I will take soft light and high iso over sunlight anytime unless the sunlight is perfect.
This Harrier looks a lot different than the one Arash posted today, much lighter, sometimes
in the distance I think it is the Male.
    Maybe a much younger bird?

This is simply superb. That direct gaze is exceptional.
I would do a touch of NR on the harrier's back and front wing.
If you were to print this I would smooth out the circular round areas to the left of the bird ? plants.
    But oh, what a frame,
    Gail

Brilliant capture, Dan. What a look with those beautiful eyes. Love the background. Gail made some good observations.

Have to completely agree with Gail. You could go a lifetime and not get this pose again. You really nailed the opportunity. Another vote for smoothing to the left of the front wing. TFS and keep them coming.

Repost with smudge posts removed, I quickly used brush to smooth out
vegetation spots. Also less contrast and saturation, Less is More...

super pose Dan, I like the colors and the saturation in the original better. you nailed the pose and the look doesn't get better than this. The harrier is a bit grainy but the details are there, with a bit of calibrated NR you can get better results IMO

TFS this is a top notch shot

Not much to add here...I'd print it and get it framed if it were mine. TFS

A beautiful image, amazing pose and excellent focus. The noise is inconsequential to me, I was looking at the form and composition, wow that's amazing. The second image certainly shows better detail in the darker plumage.

Wow!! What a great looking pose Dan!!
That stare is perfect. Details look pretty good too.
Not as thin as the male, but just a little more in the darks will add a little pop to a already smoking image.
    Your best one so far!!
