    Hi all,

A Pied Kingfisher taken in Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique back in early July. In post, smoothed out some darker bits in the BG, NR, ~30% off the original frame.

    Camera: Nikon D500
    Lens: 500mm f/4 + 1.4 TC
    Specs: 1/640 f/6.3 ISO 1,600

Thanks for looking and commenting on prior posts!

The IQ and clarity of this image are outstanding.
Love how the branch curves into the frame.
The BG in the sun really looks great with the KF slightly in the shade.
    Very very nice!

Very nice Alex! Love the curved branch coming in from the top of the frame, very unique. IQ and exposure look sweet too. Maybe tone down the BG a hair but otherwise a solid image.

pretty good job with the relative dark bird against bright BG. I'd also tone down BG a nudge especially the brighter blobs

Very nice....The KF and perch stand out so well against the BG...almost 3D look here. Lovely detail, nice control on the black/whites. The pose and HA are simply awesome.

Bet you were stoked when the kingfisher chose this perch. Framing is right on. Love the pose and the neat perch. I don't mind the background.
