    I captured this image along 10 Mile Grade Road in Zolfo Springs, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D500
    Nikon 80-40mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, image captured at 400mm
    1/1250 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +1 ISO 1600 Auto 1 WB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction
    Cropped for composition and presentation

    Nice closeup of the species in a nice calling pose..
    Are you sure this is not a Meadowlark?
    A more attractive perch would have been nice..

    Very nice shot, Joe. I love the calling pose and the colors. Details look good as well. I would take a sliver off the LHS and add more room to the right to balance the comp. Well done and TFS

    Joe:

    I like the background color to match with his breast, wide open bill, soft background.

    He looks a bit wet, and I think that makes the sharpening look uneven.

    Amazing big feet and legs.

    Yes, the perch is a bit busy.

    The two toned background is great. Love the calling pose. Framing is nice, maybe a touch more below.
