I like the image, for me it is a bit of a smack in the eye with all the bright features. iIwould be inclined to apply a subtle vignette and I think I would pull down the brighter elements a little. I know some people like high key style and that was probably your intention so please forgive my limited sense of artistic creativity

nice exposure and the open the calling pose with visible tongue takes it up a notch I agree the top of the head is almost lost in the BG, I'd tone down the BG just a tad to at least discern the boundaries of the duck
