I capture this image at Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida. This is a bird, much like the Cattle Egret, that has profound changes when breeding. The blue eye ring, the greenish lore, the light tan tufts of feathers and deepening red of the eye. The bird was perched on one ot the wooden posts on the west side of Wading Bird Way trail described in the BAA Middle Florida Photography Site Guide. The guide is available on the Birds As Art Online store here The BAA Middle of Florida Site Guide . Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Wow that would make a pleasing print! Hang that on your wall and I guarantee 95% of the viewers would say, "did you take that?" Wonderful detail and colour a joy to view.

This is excellent! I've never seen those breeding plumes so well! Perfect light, razor sharp, and perfect head angle. Composition is spot on as well. Bravo.

Bang on portrait right here. Love the blue around the eye. Nice blue background as well. Detail looks great.

Great shot, love the red eye (ours in OZ is dirty yellow) and the subtle colors around the eye. So sharp it nearly makes my eyes bleed!

Great detail, pose, and BG. Colors are very nice. Love the plumage. Red eye pops very well. Some of the darkest blacks look a little dense. All around a very nice image. TFS
