    I like the colours and composition but I have some reservations over focus, it doesn't look quite sharp to me. The crown of the head looks sharp, the eye just a tad soft but the wing looks OOF. Not sure if its just a DOF issue, is this full frame at f4 - could be DOF is a little tight??

    Same positives as all the others, but I think the semi-skeptical look on this bird is great. He's certainly giving you the eye!

    I agree the body doesn't look as perfectly sharp as the head.

    Yes it's a depth of field issuse.

    Another nice one from this series -- I have to get down there at some point! I'd clone out the reflection of the eye (?) HLs in the water. Water drops on the face are nice. I'm ok with f/4 here, but could see going to f/5.6 + as well for a bit more DOF since the BG seems very distant. TFS
