    S5, Macro Nikkor 105mm f2.8 @ f6.3 1/250 sec. ISO 250. Aperture prioriy; no flash. Hand-held. MF.

    I know, my techniques are shaky :o but I like the light ;)

    See that eye? :D:D

    Once I started getting a few hummingbird images, I was amazed at how often they blink. Other birds do as well, but hummers seem to do it more often....perhaps from living life in the fast lane.

    I think I agree with you Desmond - what can I say? Try again.

    Hi Desmond! 1/250 works in a multiflash setup for hummingbirds, but not really for available light photos. Back to the drawing board IMO. :)

    Agree with Doug !!! I do think you can pull one off .... try bumping the ISO , wide open and maximize the shutter speed !!!!

    Sure wish you could do a multi flash set up !!! Maybe gather some friends and pull resources !! Nikons are easy since they are wireless !!!! Do one set up for all and replace flash cards for each !!!

    Hey, thanks for looking !

    I don't know why I ended up with 1/250 sec for this one. Probably I forgot to adjust shutter speed after my last shot of something else.

    I like what you were trying to do here. The background does look pleasing with the soft hues. No nits from me, since all techs. have been mentioned...just keep on shooting...:D
