The flight pose is nice. Bet you wish the bird was flying the other way. Background is great. Maybe crop a little from the left.

Nice gliding pose Jon, you've got some good details there, maybe lighten the face a touch?

Don't wish to upset you but the one we watched this afternoon not move for an hour gave us 2 passes over the golf course 15 minutes after you left - sorry!

Nice pose and good details. Nice muted BG as well. Would take a bit more off the left and add it to the right if you have it. In a perfect world the owl would be fly the other way, but much better than any SEO frame I have. TFS

Thanks for the feedback John, Alex, re-composition is possible it is quite a large crop. Yes you wait for decent light then you don't get the bird, or you get the bird in low light. Just occasionally you get the light and the bird then the bird is the wrong way around!
Mike I did selectively increase exposure on the face by about 1 stop, I'll have another look.
I don't begrudge you your opportunity, I have a few more mages worth posting. (Rain this morning but sunshine scheduled 3pm onwards so I will return).

Hi Jon, I like the IQ in this, and overall detail and sharpness too. Nicely separated from the BG, and a decent BG too.

I know you captured these guys with your other gear. How are finding this with your new set up ( gear )
