    Joe:

    I like the colors, soft background, interesting stair step perch effect, nice look back pose.

    I am not sure the large amount of negative space above adds much.

    Perhaps a sliver more sharpening on the bird as well.

    A simple but artistic shot Joe. Works well for me!
    I like the tripple symmetry of the perch and the look-back pose. The image seems well exposed and nicely framed. I'm okay with the negative space and the uniform background is nice even though the lack of color is a bit bland.
    I think the colors of the bird looks a little off to for this species. Would also reduce the highlights of the perch a tiny bit.

    Nice "over-the-shoulder" glance. Apt habitat and perch for the species. I'd be OK with the subject higher in the frame by pointing your lens down more. Yes, there seems to be a cyan-ish cast - try adding some reds and/or magenta to the overall WB. The males of the species should be showing up any week now up here!!

    Nice pose and perch. Killer background. Can't wait to photograph these guys come spring.
