I captured this BHG in winter plumage, a couple of weeks back, at a local loch.

This is a gorgeous frame Will.
Love the BG, the light and the IQ.
Awesome wing position and pose. I would blend in the horizontal grass on the loch bank to right of bird. It pulls the eye away slightly.
Looks like a dust spot to left of bird about 2 1/2 inches above the "n" in Dickson. Easy fix,

Hi Will, looks good. Nice colors and detail on the bird, soft background with complimentary color. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent! I think you could do better with NR to smooth the BG'S on your photos.
At iso640 there is a bit of noise, no deal breaker, a really nice photo, but I would look'
at your workflow to get smoother BG's at this iso.

I love the wing position and overall feel of the image. Personally I would have preferred the gull a wee bit more towards the back of the frame (not much more needed). Nice BG, and yes some NR to it would not hurt. Nice whites and details on the gull.

    Beautiful frame William!
Nicely controlled whites and a stunning pose with good wing position and eye contact. I like the line through the background as it is subtle enough not to be distracting.
I think the bird should be moved slightly to the left to keep it of center. Also it seems oversharpened to m eyes, there is some noise present both on the bird and in the background.

Just love dorsal flight frames like this one. Nice pose and light as well. Some more room below would have been nice. Detail on the bird is lovely.
