    Default Duck Smorgasboard

This duck was imaged this morning at the local bird sanctuary. It was hanging around with three others of somewhat similar configuration, but each was slightly different in coloration, and one was 25% bigger. Mainly mallard, but probably some black duck in there as well. Not sure where the white breast came from. If anyone has any thoughts, would appreciate hearing them.

Post : LRCC and PS. Cleaned up a few spots in the background. Full frame.

    Snacks were provided.

    Cheers

Love that BG and the view of the near wing is awesome. Can't believe you got motion blur at the wing tip at 1/2000 on a duck but I like the effect. Only wish to bring up the shadows a bit more. No duck expert, but it looks like a mallard muscovy mix. TFS

Interesting duck. Maybe a Black Duck / Mallard hybrid, along with some domestication in its' line, hence the white. Black bill is something different, even for Black Ducks. Critical focus seems to be on the feet, but the image is rather engaging through nonetheless.

Neat looking hybrid you have here. Nice pose and framing as well. I would sharpen the head some more.

I like the flight pose...I would try brightening up the body and head a little. I agree about the critical focus point, but sharpening the head should help. Nice colours throughout.

Unusual duck! I like the body position.
Agree with above comments re: sharpening head.
    Nice BG,
