I don't have a wall of shame but i do have a local park called Ashton Park!
I thought i would try out the camera in highly contrasting and changing light. I flipped a few customisations to facilitate rapid exposure compensation.

Jon: I like the lit bird vs. the much darker background, open bill, eye, angle of frame.

Might consider lightening the shadows on the back just a bit more.

    Cheers

Exposure looks good, I would go to a 2X3 crop and take some off the top.

I love white birds against a dark BG.
I like your composition and the open bill.
Nice and sharp with good exposure.

White on dark does indeed look great. Open bill adds a lot. To my eye the image does appear to need a bit of CW rotation, but all else looking good!

I really like this one. Nice to have the bird in some sunlight with that dark water background. Like the framing and the open mouth.

Looking good Jon...I love these type of shots, and have a few myself with gulls. I wouldn't change a thing. Well done.
