Hi Will, excellent light in this, and what a great angled pose. Exposure and sharpness spot on, and the overall IQ is tops. Well captured.

My son will soon be settling in Edinburgh. We could meet up one day.

Absoluetly love your photos of these grouse. Great detail with a killer background. Framing is right on as well.

You have a terrific shot there Will, everything is ideal, the image invites close inspection and it stands up to fine scrutiny very well indeed.

Lovely look at this bird. Great IQ and detail and a perfect BG. I might be tempted to take a bit off the RHS and also darken the eye a little overall. TFS I would love to photograph these birds.

Echo all of the positives, bravo! I think this would be lights-out good as an 8x10 vertical box crop. I think the craned neck need to made as prominent as possible in the frame.

Fantastic portrait. Colours, contrast, light. Everything. I also love the raised "flap" on the eybrow.

  14. Thanks William Dickson thanked for this post
