    I captured this image at Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida on a foggy morning. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED, image captured at 400mm
    1/1000 F/5.6 Matrix Metering EV +1/2/3 ISO 2200 Auto WB, camera supported by a monopod
    Post processed in Lightroom Classic, Photoshop CC 2020 and Neat Image for noise reduction

    Very nice colors.

    Interesting choice of crop and subject placement. I would have choose normal aspect ratio taking some canvas from left of frame.

    I quite like the composition, perhaps a cm off the base? You have posted pretty much high key, personally I think it may look more attractive if it was a little less bright. I applied a curves layer and pulled down the centre point until output indicated 107.
    Was the image overexposed in the first instance??

    I see what you were going for, but I feel pointing your lens more to the right to include the full larger pad at right would, and also place the subject more to the left, have improved the comp IMO. I love the setting, reflections, colours. Great bird, although I presume Mandarins are domesticated at that place?

    Beautiful duck. Nice reflection. I like the lily pads as well. Not so sure on the crop here. I know you were going for the theme though and this fits it well.
