The pose is dynamic - and the view of the talons would be killer if they were sharp - but the techs are really off as noted by Arash. The big question is did you start with an out-of-focus image or crop very deep into a distant subject?

It looks like motion blur / OOF to me rather than a big crop.

With that gear and shutter speed you should have a tack-sharp image here. I'm wondering if it is also a processing issue? What is your raw file like? Unfortunate as it is a sweet pose indeed - I suppose it was heading up to a nest or utility pole.

Yes image quality is not very good here. The pose is neat.

Thanks for the input. Truth is that the RAW image was just off critical focus but given the dynamic pose I tried to make something of it.

Hi Colin. Dynamic pose for sure. The only time I get a similar pose is at Osprey House in Brisbane, when they're flying around the nest atop the pole. Hope you get more shots soon. Cheers.
