This was taken at Viera Wetlands here in central Florida last December. Cropped for presentation. Processed in CP1 and PSCC. Neat Image for NR. Nothing cloned or altered. I did apply extra NR to background to blur detail a bit further. I appreciate all comments and feedback. Thanks for looking.

Nice framing and killer detail, even if the bird does look unnaturally crunchy, maybe from over-sharpening? The soft BG is nice, but the one reed between the beak and neck is distracting. Exposure looks spot on.

Yeah, I think it is a bit over sharpened. The reed I did not notice but now can't not notice of course. I'm going to see what I can do about it. Thanks Dorian.

The framing and detail are great. Nice to have that green background. The bird does look a little cruncy.

My PS skills are limited at best so don't look too close! Sharpening looks better to me anyway.....

The repost is much, much better! Sharpening now looks perfect and tasteful. The evicted streak is also an improvement.

I agree the repost is better.
I can see where you cloned and some minor artifacts but if you are new at this ,you did very well.
Oversharpening has been addressed in your repost nicely.
You have a perfect HA and I like how you cropped this image,

Thanks Daniel and Gail. Appreciate the feedback. Yes, my PS skills are pretty rudimentary, but working on them! Thanks for taking the time.

Hi John, lovely portrait of a Sandhill Crane. The repost is much better. I haven't been to Viera in a while, will have to go there soon. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Joseph. No GBH nests this year. It's pretty quiet. I have not been now in 3 or 4 weeks as it is so quiet. Orlando Wetlands has much more opportunity it seems to me right now.

Most things have been said already and I agree that the repost is mch better.
Beautiful details, pose and nice colors in the background.
It is an interesting and artistic composition as is but I would take some of the left and add to the right if you have it. It would be a more balanced frame for me and remove the dark grass on the bottom left.

    Agree with points mentioned earlier.

You need to reduce Yellows in the background colors, Try selective color and reduce yellows

Thanks Krishna. Not sure what you mean, are you referring to selecting a color range in PS?

Why do you suggest reducing yellows? Thanks.

Hi John, perfect HA, and good detail and colours on the head. Killer colours to the BG. Before reading any comments, I too, thought your OP was a tad over sharpened. Your repost works well.
