I ask because over the past week or two there has been a group of 7 or 8 American Tree Sparrows in the spot you describe. That species has a central breast spot such as your bird shows, which is lacking in the Field Sparrow; but the Tree Sparrow has a pretty distinctive bi-colored bill which I'm not seeing well here. In any event, a cute little fellow. I agree with Gail's crop and clone suggestions, and maybe a touch of brightness.
