A very rare bird in my area although I know they are really
common elsewhere. A small number here in thickets around
a small lake in Portland, I got a look through the branches at
one the other day. Just enough clear for a head shot.
I was lucky, they have been here for a couple years but hardly
    ever in viewable habitat.
    Attractive birds..

Arash, I used the dehaze feature for the first time ever.. It adds a lot of noise, but
was the only way to get clarity shooting through branches..
It does work as advertised, but does add noise, basically contrast on steroids.

Love the bird but would lose the OOF branches on the right.

Hi Dan, I like the angled pose, and these guys do have attractive red eyes. Exposure looks great too.

Solid portrait here. The earth toned background is nice. Red eye is great.

Hi Dan ... nice close up . BG is as is , does not bother me .
The noise is way too much ... and that only at Iso 320 ???!!!

Just surprised to hear that dehaze is the problem ??? I use the Dehaze thingy in PS as filter at times , having no real issue with noise !!!
How far did you push the dehaze ? And i am wondering that the dark tones are not deeper as this is what the dehaze also does .
