    This is another image of the common loon chick that swam right up to my kayak. I like the view of the stubby wing and the submerged foot in this one. 40D, 300 f/4 + 1.4X, 1/500, f/8, ISO 400, handheld. Comments are welcome.

    Very nice sharpness for such a soft, fuzzy critter. I like the submerged foot as well and the clear patch of water surrounded by the nicely transitioned soft, blurred BG.

    I like this one much better, the first one was allready great, but the reflection and side view on this one are great, although the little "wave" on his chest gives me the feeling that the bird is being pushed out the frame, maybe I would rotate it just a little to "correct" that, but, as is, is perfect, the before said is just a personal thought. Congrats! Lovely image!
