Musician Wren - Most beautiful song in the world?

Hi everyone,

Been a while since I posted anything here. I have had sooo much work and studying lately so I simply haven't had time for photogrpahy. I find that those long periods without trips into the nature can make you quite blue. To counter this I took a second look at my photos from a recent trip to Brazilian Amazonia. This is a capture of one of my favourite birds in the world. The Musician Wren, probably one of the coolest birdsongs in the world. Unreal hearing the song cuting through a dark rainforest for the first time. The dark rainforest understory obviously makes this species a very difficult bird to photograph. We spent a few days trying to get a singing male to perch in the open. This was a set-up that finally worked. I have a few more from this moment when the sun hits the head in a spotlight effect, might post those later but haven't got time to edit them now.

Neat patterns on this wren. Like the framing as well. Sounds like tough shooting conditions. But you did very well.

Thanks for the link Ivan. It is indeed a melodious call.
I love seeing new ( to me ) birds and this little wren is lovely.
The POV, perch and BG are excellent.
You have handled the jungle light beautifully and I am glad you left the catchlights as they were.
The feather details are beautiful. I just wish for a bit more of a head turn but would be thrilled to have this in my portfolio.

Tropical wrens are soooooo hard to get into the open, so this is an incredible result. The colors are great and the detail is outstanding. I also like the setting with the log and gently blurred foliage behind. As Gail said, a bit more
head turn would be ideal, but this is still an awesome result.

Spectacular Wren I have never seen...Your usual very nice IQ. You could take a tad off the right but
that is nitpicking. Very nice bird and frame.

Thanks Daniel, no I don't think any of these kind of wrens have a behaviour of lifting their tail. At least none of the ones I have observed have done it.

bird is great, BG is good and shows the habitat but I wish it was smoother the main issue here is the perch and the way the tail has fallen behind it
