This wee fellow was so engrossed in us that he hadn't noticed Mum move off, she was fine, but suddenly the cub panicked and ran over the ice flow to catch up with her. There was no pressure as she was only about 50m away, but in the undulating pack ice the cub clearly didn't see her, but her scent was strong enough.
I probably hit the dial by mistake because I had it at 1/1600, so I think I will try to remember to lock the back dial to avoid things like this happening.
