    Default European Bison portrait

Hi folks just a simple portrait of this species .... from Kraansvlak in the Netherlands from sept 2018 .
I was not very successful during that stay , just one day of sighting out of 5 days .... so spent more time with the foxes on the other side . The good thing was they had the GPS signal online .... to see where the herd roamed , if the herd was far off , i did not even tried to look for them .

    Canon EOS 1Dx II
    EF 500 IS L II + 1,4 TC III
    Monopod

    F 7,1 ; Iso 6400 ; 1/2000 sec ; man exp and auto iso ; perfectly shot ETTR

Processed with DPP 4 and PSCC 2020 ; slightly cropped from RHS and added a bit of canvas to the top . Greenery on the horn is naturally from scratching horn against tree or shrub

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting

    Cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas -- This is a cracking frame. Those details are excellent, feel like touching that fur. Liked the slight open mouth, showing those teeth. Very nice techs and lovely IQ.

I only wish the BKG was more uniform with either of the colours and not both .

    A fine image , TFS !

    Hello Andreas,
Loved all your Bison images and this is no exception. Such beautiful textures in that coat, wonderful detail and colours are superb

A well balanced well composed frame Boetie, and like you said " perfectly shot ETTR "

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea

A solid portrait, with fine detail and natural looking colours. Love the goatee and the open mouth.

A nice solid portrait Andreas, like the overall tones and colour palette, although the split background I find a bit distracting, mainly the white element. Perhaps try a warm TriTone?

Thanks folks for your kind comments , much appreciated .

Nothing i can do about the BG , other than toning down the lighter parts . Might try that for a more even appearance .

Steve - was thinking about a B&W and lost track on that .... actually sadly not my business , albeit i do love good B&W images !!!! And this Duo/Tri / Quadtone stuff is great , if you are able to work with it .I am not really .... but try it sometimes , all going into the bin !!!

    Cheers Andreas

It’s not hard Andreas, and it’s all there in PS.

Solid portrait of this bison. Nice framing. The open mouth is a nice touch as well.
