Something a little different, I did take some night time images with flash but I was lucky to encounter a few in daylight.

Is this a Short Nosed Fruit Bat? I've seen very few images of fruit bats so enjoying this tremendously! The only chance I had to photograph our local species (Epauletted Fruit Bat) was at a restaurant in our local game reserve, only they were hanging upside-down from a thatch roof:)
Absolutely love the pose here because one can see those magnificent wings. Head angle is great and I like the eye contact. Was he/she about to take off?
Colours look good to me, detail and sharpening in good measure. Wish you were able to get closer Jon, love the little chap
Hi Jon, interesting, that's the second bat shot that I have seen in 24hrs shot with Olympus.
Great that it's a different species and you certainly covered some ground whilst in India which is great.
Overall I feel there is a yellow warmth atet is masking a lot of the detail and I find the slightly empty top LHC a bit unfortunate. Therefore, I think the shoot would have a little warm, dappled light, but not that it affects the overall palette. I think you can also make a lot more of the detail you captured. Perhaps a slightly tighter, square crop could work, with the addition of some more vegetation in the LHC?
I'm not say the overall colour is right, probably a bit in the middle????
Hi Jon -- I am liking the variety that you are posting. A fruit bat is a nice addition to this forum, have never seen posted here before this.
I quite liked the eye contact and the stretched wings. Colours , will leave upto you but prefer something between your Op and Steve's RP. Also details are not so good but still better than some of your recent posts with the new equipment.
Hi Jon ... a very nice posting , great to see something different !!!
I do like the pose of the subject with the head turn towards the camera , love this gorgeous eyes . Good that you got him with decently stretched wings !! Tones and details are quite good to look at and i do like it .
Do agree with the others about the color issue in the OP and i do think your RP is not really improved IMHO on that end . This is just my view ....
Why don't you take more time for one image ... instead of doing it in haste .
