I captured this image of a Blue-winged Teal along Blackpoint Wildlife Drive in Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, Merritt Island, Florida. The day was a light overcast with calm winds. Some may wish the bird was not centered but I wanted the ripples to be part of the image/composition so I balanced them within the frame. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

Hi Joe, I like the composition and the behaviour. The angle is a bit steep, I guess it was from a car? But the concentric circle of ripples make up for it. Good to see that eye.

Hi Sanjeev, thank you for viewing and commenting. This was captured from a blind, but those who built the blind only put openings with the lowest being the height of kneeling. I wish they would have put a opening so one could lay down. I tried to limit the steep angle by placing the bird higher in the frame. Thanks again.

I love the preening pose, Joe. Colors and sharpness look good to me. I like how you've not clipped the concentric circles, but I find that there's a bit too much room at the bottom for my taste. Shifting the bird down slightly would certainly improve this IMO. Strong frame. TFS

Hi Aditya, thank you for viewing and commenting. Here is a edit and repost shifting the bird down slightly. Thank you for the suggestion.

Nice view of this beauty preening. Like the ripples in the water. I'm not a fan of the framing here. Would like to see the bird lower.
